2026 Fine Arts Festival Update

The 82nd Fine Arts Festival of Rockingham County is Coming This April!

The Fine Arts Festival Association of Rockingham County is proud to announce the 82nd Fine Arts Festival, taking place April 12–16, 2026, at the Center for Workforce Development at Rockingham Community College.

For more than 80 years, this festival has celebrated the incredible creativity of artists throughout Rockingham County and 2026 promises to be another inspiring year.

Important 2026 Festival Dates

  • April 1 – Music and Literature submissions due via email
  • April 6–7 – Take-in for all other media
  • April 12 – Sponsor & Artists Sneak Peek (by invitation)
  • April 12 – Awards Ceremony (Open to the Public) at 3:00 PM
  • April 13–16 – Show open to the public
  • April 16 – Art Pick Up

All events will be held at the RCC Center for Workforce Development, 184 Wrenn Memorial Rd., Wentworth.


Who Can Enter?

The Fine Arts Festival is open to anyone in high school (9th grade and above) or older who lives, works, attends school, or worships in Rockingham County. For questions about this, please email fineartsfestival1741@gmail.com.

  • Wood Turning

Festival Rules (Please Read Carefully)

  • All work must be the original design of the artist.
  • Entrants must be in high school or older and connected to Rockingham County.
  • All work must be dry and ready to hang when entered.
  • No sawtooth hangers! Wire only.
  • Charcoal and pastel pieces must have protective coating or be under glass.
  • Fiber includes quilting, weaving, crocheting, knitting, tatting, and fashion design (original design and construction by the artist).

Music Submissions:

Submit via email. Include lyrics or score (if available). Only your name should appear on the display copy.

Poetry & Prose:

Submit via email. Provide two copies. Do not put your name on the copy intended for judging.

The Fine Arts Festival is more than a competition. It’s a celebration of our county’s creative spirit. Whether you are a seasoned artist or submitting your first piece, this is an opportunity to showcase your talent, connect with fellow creatives, and inspire our community.

Since 1944, the Fine Arts Festival Association has supported artists across Rockingham County, and we are excited to continue that tradition in 2026.
